Pokemon: The Original Series



Pokemon Indigo League

The original series began as the main character Ash Ketchum had just turned 10 years old; this birthday marked the start of his journey as a pokemon trainer. After being given his first pokemon (Pikachu) by Professor Oak, Ash begins his journey as a pokemon trainer. He quickly meets 2 new companions known as Misty and Brock, and with these companions he travels through the Kanto region, earning the 8 badges required to enter the pokemon league, while also catching some new pokemon friends along the way. After winning all 8 badges ash finally reaches the pokemon league, where he meets his rival Gary Oak, and makes a new friend Called Richie. Ash fights through the first 3 rounds the the league, making it to the top 16, only to be pitted against his new friend Richie. After a tough fight ash is defeated by Richie. After the league Ash returns to his home town of Pallet Town to celebrate his achievement in the Indigo League, marking the end to the first series.
This series spanned over 83 episodes.

Pokemon: The Adventures In The Orange Islands

This series begins as Professor Oak gives Ash the task of collecting a rare and unusual pokeball from a fellow researcher located in the orange islands known as Professor Ivy. While in the orange islands Ash learns on the Orange League and sets his sights on taking on the Champion. After meeting with Professor Ivy Ash tells Professor Oak that
he is competing in the Orange league. Brock after falling in love with, and seeing how unorganized professor Ivy is decides to stay and help her with her research. Ash and Misty soon meet a new companion called Tracey who joins them as Ash collects the four Orange league badges requires to challenge the champion. After collecting the four badges ash challenges the champion known as Drake and emerges victorious in a tough battle.

Pokemon: The Johto Journeys, Pokemon: Johto League Champions And Pokemon: Master Quest

This series begins as Ash is told by Professor Oak that he cannot discover anything about the mysterious pokeball, now known as the GS ball, and that he should take it to the pokeball expect Kurt in the Johto region. After also hearing that Gary has gone to the Johto region to enter the Johto League ash decides to go to Johto. Tracey, who had always worshiped Professor Oaks work decided to stay and help the Professor with his research. As Ash and Misty go to Ash's home to prepare for their journey they re-meet with Brock who left Professor Ivy, but Brock never states why he left. So Ash, Misty and Brock travel through the Johto region and like the original series collect the 8 badges required to enter the Johto league, while catching new pokemon along the way. Ash reaches the Johto league and again like the original series meets a new friend known this time called Harrison, who he has to battle in the top 8 of the league. Again Ash is defeated, and returns home to celebrate his achievement, as he, Misty and Brock go their different ways.
